Acupuncture
Acupuncture focuses on supporting and building qi, the energy that flows through our body bringing health and wellness to an individual. By inserting sterile, single-use needles the size of a hair into acu-points we are able to create balance in the body. From a Western perspective, acupuncture can regulate neurotransmitter and hormone release, reduce inflammation, and increase blood circulation. Acupuncture is effective for pain relief, anxiety and mood disorders, increasing energy, improving sleep, and providing a general sense of well being.

Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM)
Traditional Chinese Medicine is a system of medicine that encompasses herbal and dietary therapies, acupressure, moxibustion, far infrared heat, cupping and gua sha. Di agnostic tools, including pulse taking and tongue diagnosis are used to identify patterns of imbalance in one’s internal system. Once a pattern is identified, a comprehensive approach is used to reestablish balance and bring about health in an individual.

Naturopathy
Naturopathic Medicine is a system of healing that takes a holistic approach to improving one’s health. Focusing on prevention, and using natural substances and treatments, naturopaths support the body’s innate ability to heal itself. Naturopathic doctors have knowledge in vitamin and mineral supplementation, herbal remedies, homeopathy, physical medicine, and nutrition. Strong emphasis is placed on diet, lifestyle, and exercise to optimize wellness.

Because the state of Georgia does not yet license naturopathic doctors, they must act as consultants and not as licensed physicians, nor can they prevent, diagnose or prescribe remedies for disease.
